TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT FOR NUTRITION AND COACHING SUPPORT -

The x program offers a combination and Nutritional Therapy, Coaching and Self Study within a group format. Please read the following document to fully understand the terms and conditions of services.

What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care.

Nutritional therapy practitioners use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual's symptoms and health concerns. This approach allows them to work with individuals to address nutritional balance and help support the body towards maintaining health.

Nutritional therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing.

Practitioners consider each individual to be unique and recommend personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes rather than a 'one size fits all' approach.

Practitioners never recommend Nutritional Therapy as a replacement for medical advice and always refer any client with 'red flag' signs or symptoms to their medical professional.

They will also frequently work alongside a medical professional and will communicate with other healthcare professionals involved in the client's care to explain any Nutritional Therapy programme that has been provided.

The Nutritional Therapist (NT) requests that the Client notes the following:

-The degree of benefit obtainable from the program may vary between clients with similar health problems and following a similar Nutritional Therapy programme.

The client takes responsibility for studying the content available in the program to support health conditions and/or health symptoms they have identified as a concern.

The program is not designed to or permitted to diagnose, or claim to treat, medical conditions.

The program is not a substitute for professional medical advice and/or treatment.

The program may recommend food supplements and/or functional testing as part of your Nutritional Therapy programme and may receive a commission on these products or services.

The Client understands and agrees to the following:

-I am responsible for contacting my GP about any health concerns.

-I give permission for you to contact my GP regarding any agreed aspects of my case.

-If I am receiving treatment from my GP, or any other medical provider, I should tell him/her about any nutritional strategy provided by the program. This is necessary because of any possible reaction between medication and the nutritional program..

-It is important that I tell my Nutritional Therapist about any medical diagnosis, medication, herbal medicine, or food supplements I am taking as this may affect the nutritional programme.

-It is important that I notify my Nutritional Therapist about any changes in medications and supplements.

-If I am unclear about the agreed nutritional therapy programme/food supplement doses/time period, I should contact my nutritional therapist promptly for clarification.

--I will be on time to all appointments and book my group calls 24 hours in advance.

-I will be honest and participate fully.

-I will make a commitment to program and communicate when I am overwhelmed and ask for help when necessary.

-I understand that the power of the therapeutic relationship can only be granted by me, and I commit to making the relationship powerful.

Description of Coaching:

Coaching is partnership (defined as an alliance, not a legal business partnership) between the Coach and the Client in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximize personal and professional potential. It is designed to facilitate the creation/development of personal, professional or business goals and to develop and carry out a strategy/plan for achieving those goals.

In the context of this program, coaching is received on the group calls and will take a group coaching format. Given this environment, the Coach agrees to maintain reasonable ethics and standards of behavior and confidentiality within the group container.

The Client is solely responsible for creating and implementing his/her own physical, mental and emotional well-being, decisions, choices, actions and results arising out of or resulting from the coaching relationship and his/her coaching calls and interactions with the Coach.

As such, the Client agrees that the Coach is not and will not be liable or responsible for any actions or inaction, or for any direct or indirect result of any services provided by the Coach.

The Client understands coaching is not therapy and does not substitute for therapy if needed, and does not prevent, cure, or treat any mental disorder or medical disease.

The Client further acknowledges that he/she may terminate or discontinue the coaching relationship at any time, however all payments for the provisions of services described below, must be fulfilled. No refunds will be provided.

The Client acknowledges that coaching is a comprehensive process that may involve different areas of his or her life, including work, finances, health, relationships, education and recreation. The Client agrees that deciding how to handle these issues, incorporate coaching principles into those areas and implementing choices is exclusively the Client’s responsibility.

The Client acknowledges that coaching does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders and that coaching is not to be used as a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, or other professional advice by legal, medical or other qualified professionals and that it is the Client’s exclusive responsibility to seek such independent professional guidance as needed.

If Client is currently under the care of a mental health professional, it is recommended that the Client promptly inform the mental health care provider of the nature and extent of the coaching relationship agreed upon by the Client and the Coach.

The Client understands that in order to enhance the coaching relationship, the Client agrees to communicate honestly, be open to feedback and assistance and to create the time and energy to participate fully in the program.
